High School Graduation

High School Graduations could be one step above funerals.

I mean, quite frankly its depressing. A bunch of kids get up and cry about how this is the most important moment in their lives thus far, some old guy gets up and rambles about excellence or some crap like that. (A "two mice fell into a vat of cream" type illustration is a given.) Everyone throws their hat in the air, and afterwards, everyone goes out and gets wasted.

Don't get me wrong, I had a great time in high school. I didn't think life could get any better. However, in retrospect, now that I'm half way through college, high school just seems... insignificant.

High school was an learning process. An important milestone- sure. But I don't want my most significant accomplishments to be what I did in high school.

Oh, but Michael, I am not a Calvinist anymore. Get ready for Hillary in '08.

Nothing better than a bunch of Mormon pricks who never even graduated Northland Pioneer College giving you life advice.

If success is working for your dad's construction company, popping out babies that you can't afford, meanwhile not furthering your education, and never leaving the same small town....COUNT ME OUT.
