been to thailand - it's beautiful! and trust me: you WILL buy a bunch of useless crap, you won't need! ;) like... an incredibly cool looking watch - for 2-3 bucks - that will break after 2-3 days ;)
gotta love Thailand!
but beware: girls and "boys" can be very pushy when it comes to tourists... guard your eyes..
